Suspected In-Jail Heroin Ring Busted Up In Lawrence Co.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Police didn't have to go far to bust a suspect drug smuggling operation in Lawrence County. They said the alleged ring was happening in jail.Spring Brunswick, Amanda Miller and Carrie Reed were already behind bars when police discovered what was going on.Police said the group, with the help of a boyfriend on the outside, smuggled heroin into the Lawrence County Jail in New Castle.Police said Ronald Lyons junior is accused of supplying the drugs. He is the boyfriend of one of the inmates.The suspects are all charged with conspiracy and intent to deliver.
