2 Pine-Richland Schools Locked Down After Violent Robbery

Two schools in a local district were put on lockdown Friday afternoon during a violent robbery.

According to police at least one person was stabbed during an armed home invasion.

The Pine-Richland School District said administrators at Eden Hall Upper Elementary and Richland Elementary schools were secured for a brief time around 2 p.m. on Friday.

The lockdown was in response to a robbery in the vicinity of Heckert Road and Route 8.

Police followed up and confirmed that there was no threat to the two schools and allowed administrators to resume normal operations.
