2 Pine-Richland Schools Locked Down After Violent Robbery

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Two schools in a local district were put on lockdown Friday afternoon during a violent robbery.According to police at least one person was stabbed during an armed home invasion.The Pine-Richland School District said administrators at Eden Hall Upper Elementary and Richland Elementary schools were secured for a brief time around 2 p.m. on Friday.The lockdown was in response to a robbery in the vicinity of Heckert Road and Route 8.Police followed up and confirmed that there was no threat to the two schools and allowed administrators to resume normal operations.
