MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. -- A Mount Pleasant Township family got quite a scare Monday night when a car crashed into their house.

The crash happened along Route 819 at about 5 p.m.

Police said a Corvette came around the bend and the driver lost control, crashing into the house.

"All of a sudden, we hear a shatter and the house shook and we ran into the garage, because I seriously thought someone was breaking into my house. We peek out the window and all I see is this Corvette in my basement," said resident Jessica Strautmann.

There's no word on whether the driver was hurt or if charges will be filed.
