Police Officer Flown To Hospital After Westmoreland Co. Crash

IRWIN, Pa. -- A Westmoreland County police officer was injured in an accident Wednesday night.Police say a police motorcycle collided with a car around 9:40 p.m. on Route 30 in Irwin.North Huntingdon Police Officer Carl Steinkopf, 39, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital. He's listed in fair condition.The driver of the car was identified as Marcia Levelle, 47, of Irwin. She was not hurt.The passenger in the car was identified as Kristin Levelle, 20, also of Irwin. She was flown to UPMC Mercy and was later released.Police did not say what caused the accident.
