Family Holds Hope 1 Year After Washington Co. Man Went Missing

This month marks one year since a Washington County man disappeared, but loved ones said they are not giving up hope.

“It’s been a year,” said Misty Morrison, the man’s niece. “I can’t think of any reason why he wouldn’t just come home.”

Michael King was last heard from on Dec. 3, 2008.

“He ran a junk yard in West Finley,” said Morrison. “He did fine. He just got married. I can’t think of any reason.”

State police said they have not found a trace of King.

King is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 245 pounds with blue eyes and a bald head.

“They went out and searched the property with cadaver dogs, searched with helicopters,” said Morrison. “We went out on foot and searched everywhere and so far we’ve found absolutely nothing.”

Anyone with information about King is urged to call state police.
