Steelers Shop With Local At-Risk Teens

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Local at-risk teens did some holiday shopping with the black and gold Tuesday night.The Steelers joined forces with American Eagle Outfitters for a Shop with a Steeler event at Ross Park Mall.Twenty-four teens from Kidsvoice were given a $200 American Eagle Outfitters gift card.They could buy something for themselves, or purchase a holiday gift for a loved one.Steelers kicker Jeff Reed said giving back all year-round is important."Events like this are great. Whether it's a holiday season or not. I'm very blessed to have an awesome family, a great situation and I want to bring it out in other people," said Reed."He's a good person, he's really friendly and what not. It's a great experience all-together," said Jake, Reed's shopping partner.Kidsvoice is an advocacy group for at-risk children.
