MONROEVILLE, Pa. -- A local man was arrested Thursday on a charge of attempting to lure a 13-year-old girl to his home in Monroeville.

Alex Pimpinella, 21, was taken into custody by detectives at his grandfather’s house on Blueberry Road in Monroeville.

Pimpinella is charged with attempting to lure a 13-year-old Greentree girl and a subsequent sexual assault.

Investigators allege the suspect picked her up and drove her to his home for alleged sexual activity.

“The first contact of Pimpinella and our victim was through MySpace, where Pimpinella used a username of djkrave,” said Lt. Jeff Korczyk. “There was a relationship that took place between Pimpinella and our victim.”
