Police: Man Tried To Rob Bloomfield Rite Aid Pharmacy

Pittsburgh police said they are looking for the man who tried to rob a Bloomfield Rite Aid Thursday morning.

The assistant manager of the Rite Aid Pharmacy told investigators the suspect entered the store, approached the counter and asked to see the pharmacist.

The suspect then passed a handwritten note on a napkin demanding drugs including, percocet, vicodin and Oxycontin, police said.

The pharmacist did not comply with the demands and the suspect left the store through the front doors, empty handed, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin to medium build.

He was wearing a very distinctive white hooded sweatshirt with a gray squared pattern, a gray tassel cap and carrying a maroon book bag with black straps.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
