CRAFTON, Pa. -- The Medical Examiner's officer ruled that a woman found dead in the snow in Crafton was an accidental death.

Elizabeth Henderson died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head with a contributing factor of hypothermia.

Investigators said the 87-year-old woman was discovered Tuesday night in her front yard along Barr Ave.

Emergency workers transported the woman to Allegheny General Hospital, where she died.

Authorities said the woman might have been salting her steps at the time.
