A sixth-grader in Ohio has been suspended for bringing a popular magazine to school.

Justin Reyes, 12, was suspended for three days after he brought the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition to his public school.

A teacher confiscated the magazine and officials recommended time at an alternative school.

Reyes' mother, Nicole, refused. She said she's outraged the school district considers bringing the magazine to school delinquent.

"That is not sexual harassment. I doubt my 12-year-old is the only one looking at Sports Illustrated," she said.

"You saw bad stuff on the super bowl half-time show. You could see more on that than in here," the boy said.

Officials at the Belpre City School District said sexually suggestive material is not allowed on school property.
