Federal Charges Dropped Against Greenpeace Protesters

Six People Climbed Smokestack

Federal charges have been dropped against Greenpeace activists who climbed a Greene County power station last month.

Six activists scaled the smokestack at Hatfield's Ferry to protest President George W. Bush's energy policy.

They had been charged with destruction of an energy facility.

The suspects still face state charges including burglary, rioting and trespass.
