4 Girls, 8 Boys Involved In 2 Separate Brashear High School Fights

PITTSBURGH,None — Two fights broke out at Brashear High School on Friday, according to Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh.

Pugh said the first fight involved four female students and the second involved eight male students. The fight happened inside of the school at different times of the school day, Pugh said.

All of the students involved were sent home and face disciplinary action. Pugh said one student was sent to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center.

No one was seriously hurt.

In a statement to Channel 11 News Pugh said the fight involving the boys had something to do with a "neighborhood issue" that overflowed into the school. Pugh said the cause of the girls' fight is not clear.
