COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police in Columbus, Ohio, are on the lookout for an escaped pet monkey.

Officers are combing the woods and leaving out food, trying to catch the 3-foot tall monkey named "Buddy."

Buddy escaped from his cage on Monday.

He has already bitten one person.

Police said although he is small, he is very strong and is considered dangerous.

Anyone who spots Buddy is asked to contact local police.

The monkey's owner is helping in the search.
