• 5 arrested in Wilmerding home raid

WILMERDING, Pa. - Four men and a woman were arrested after a Wilmerding home was raided Monday morning.

“I was in the house and heard somebody say, ‘Come out with your hands up.’  There were two SWAT cars there,” said a neighbor.

The district attorney’s narcotics enforcement team executed a search warrant following some alleged undercover heroin buys and gunfire at the house.

“There were just a lot of people stopping in and out,” said another neighbor.

Believing weapons were inside the home, SWAT secured it before agents went inside.

Police said an AK-47, 9mm handgun and flak jacket were removed from the home.  Police said bags believed to contain drug residue were also recovered.

“This used to be a good neighborhood, but I guess drugs are a problem,” said a neighbor.
