FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. -- A local school's longtime maintenance man has been charged with possession of child pornography.

Mendle Harshman, 57, of Ohiopyle, worked at the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School in Georges County for 26 years.

Harshman was charged after Pennsylvania State Police found the images on his school computer.

A student is credited with helping police.

The school's acting director says the school is confident Harshman had no inappropriate contact with students before he left in March.
