MONESSEN, Pa. -- About 100 firefighters were called out to a blaze in Monessen overnight after a bowling alley caught fire.This fire started just after 1:30 a.m. Friday at the Star Lanes Bowling Alley along Donner Avenue.

Firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading to an auto shop and a home next door.But two homes did suffer some damage.The extra firefighters were brought in because of the cold temperatures and the intensity of the flames.Fortunately, no one was injured.The county fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
