McCloy May Have Suffered Brain Damage

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. -- West Virginia University hospital officials said Thursday that the lone survivor of the Sago Mine tragedy has been transferred to a Pittsburgh hospital to undergo hyperbaric oxygen treatment.Randal McCloy Jr., who was in a coma and may have suffered brain damage, was transferred to Allegheny General Hospital, said Bill Case, a spokesman for WVU's Ruby Memorial Hospital.McCloy, 26, of Simpson, was struggling with the effects of oxygen deprivation to his vital organs, including his brain, Dr. John Prescott had said.Watch Channel 11 News for the latest updates.
