140 Jobs Created In Three Years

Expansion of an airline in Pittsburgh will mean new jobs.

Indianapolis-based Republic Airways will establish a new maintenance facility and flight crew base at Pittsburgh International Airport.

It will also fly out of several of the former U.S. Airways gates.

Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell made the announcement Monday at the airport.

The move is expected to create as many as 140 new jobs over the next three years.
