SEWICKLEY HEIGHTS, Pa. -- President George W. Bush will be visiting the Pittsburgh area Friday.The president is set to attend a fundraiser for U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum in Sewickley Heights.Santorum faces a tough re-election fight.

The event will be held at the home of Richard Simmons, a former local business leader.About 500 people are expected, each paying either $1,000 or $10,000 for a private reception and photo opportunity with the president.Santorum is expected to raise about $500,000 for his campaign war chest this year.He's expected to face Democratic treasurer Bob Casey Jr. for the Senate race, which is expected to be one of the most expensive races in the country.Bush also attended a fundraiser for Santorum last June in Montgomery County that raised $1.7 million.Several other Republican leaders are expected to attend Friday's event.While in Sewickley, the president will be presenting a local woman, Edy Hope, of Cranberry Township, with a volunteer service award.
