911 outage fixed for Comcast customers in Armstrong County

ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. — An issue that left some Comcast customers in Armstrong County unable to call 911 from their landline phones has been fixed, Armstrong County 911 said Wednesday afternoon.

Comcast officials said customers in Templeton were affected. Residents were still able to dial 911 on their cellphones.

Emergency dispatchers told Channel 11 News that a Comcast fiber line was burned.

Comcast has since fixed the problem and all phones are able to dial 911, Armstrong 911 said.
