Man Arrested In Duquesne Campus Shooting

Second Suspect Being Sought

An arrest was made in a shooting that sent five Duquesne basketball players to the hospital Sunday morning.

Brandon Baynes, 18, from Penn Hills, was placed in police custody early Tuesday morning and faces a list of charges, including criminal conspiracy.

Police said a second shooter is still on the loose. They are looking for 18-year-old William Holmes, also of Penn Hills, and said he is considered armed and dangerous.

Police are getting much of their information from 19-year-old Duquesne co-ed Brittany Jones, who was arraigned on four charges, including two counts of conspiracy.

Police said she was flirting with members of the basketball team before the shootings.

Three victims are still in the hospital.

Stuard Baldonado has been upgraded to fair condition. He is expected to have surgery Tuesday to have a bullet removed from his back.

At last report, Sam Ashaolu was in critical condition at Mercy Hospital.

Kojo Mensah is at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. His condition is not being released.
