PITTSBURGH — The outbound Parkway East was closed for more than two hours Friday just east of the Edgewood/Swissvale exit, after a dump truck overturned and spilled its load.
The accident happened at about 10 a.m. One outbound lane was reopened at about 12:30 p.m., but drivers were warned to expect heavy delays.
The second outbound lane reopened just after 2 p.m.

Bystanders pulled the truck driver to safety through the windshield.
The cause of the crash and the driver's condition were not immediately known.
It was not clear whether the wreckage and gravel would be completely cleared in time for the evening rush hour.
