Man accused of sexually assaulting 6-year-old boy

CONFLUENCE, Pa. — A Henry Clay Township man was arrested early Sunday morning after police said he admitted to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy.

According to the police report, Brian Lynch, 45, was at his Parnell Road home with the victim Saturday afternoon.

Police said Lynch dropped the victim’s brother, 17, off at a Greensburg park, and then drove the victim to get ice cream in Somerset County and then to Keener-Legion Park in Latrobe.

The police report said Lynch and the victim walked on a bike trail, and once they returned to his car, Lynch sexually assaulted the victim.

Police said Lynch then left the victim unattended at the park and drove away.

Lynch was later apprehended and the victim was located by police.

Lynch was interviewed by authorities and confessed to taking the victim without permission and sexually assaulting him, according to the police report.
