Arrest made in case of woman shot in stomach

PITTSBURGH — A 22-year-old woman was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital Sunday night after being found shot in the stomach in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood, police said.

Authorities said the report of a person shot in the 7100 block of Everton Street came in just before 9 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the wounded woman.

She was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, Pittsburgh police said.

Police announced Monday morning that they had arrested a suspect, 29-year-old Bruce Marshall of Lincoln-Lemington.

Marshall is charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
