'Bad' Heroin Suspected In 2 Western Pa. Overdoses

PITTSBURGH,None — Police are concerned that a bad batch of heroin might be responsible for overdoses that left a man and a young boy unresponsive in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Police in Indiana borough, about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, say the juvenile and a 26-year-old were found unresponsive in separate incidents late Friday and early Saturday.

Both victims reportedly survived the weekend overdoses, but Indiana County Coroner says he's concerned the same batch might be responsible for a woman's death last month.

The 21-year-old woman died March 29 in Blairsville. Toxicology tests to pinpoint the cause of her death are still pending.

But Baker says he's "very concerned about that possibility."
