Baseball team wins the right to name their coach's baby

PALM BAY, FLORIDA — A Florida high school baseball team has won the right to the name their coach's un-born child.

Heritage High School coach Rob Querry of Palm Bay, challenged his team to win at least 14 games this season.

If it did, the coach and his wife agreed to let team members name their baby.

On Tuesday, the team won the game to assure the first winning baseball season in Heritage's seven-year history.

With the win, the team named Coach Querry's child.... Benjaman Smalls.

If the name sounds familiar its because the team combined the names of two characters in "The Sandlot" movie... Bennie "the Jet" and Scotty Smalls.

Mom says while she is not 100-percent sold on the name, she says there is one advantage to it.

When the child asks about the history of his name, she just plans to tell him to Google it.
