Beaver County 911 dispatcher suspended after OD'ing in home she shares with children

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — A Beaver County 911 dispatcher has been suspended and is facing charges after she overdosed on heroin in her home, which she shares with her children, officials said.

Authorities said Brittany Trainer, of Pulaski Township, was found passed out at her home with various drug paraphernalia near her. She was suspended without pay from her job at the Beaver County 911 Center.

Trainer and her husband, James Trainer, each face child endangerment charges.

However, due to the overdose immunity law - which prevents filing of drug possession charges to encourage family or others witnessing an overdose to call emergency responders - Brittany Trainer will not face any drug-related charges, the Beaver County district attorney said.
