Currently, The Bus Stops Here Foundation executes the following five programs:

  • Innovation Huddle: In today's technology-driven world, it is critical that all children have access and exposure to computer science (CS) and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs. Through innovative and engaging activities centered around technology creation, youth as young as 8 years old can learn to develop web pages, video games, animation and more. An early introduction to computer science can spark a child's interest in engineering while also helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. While classroom learning greatly contributes to students' academic success, it is also important that they are given opportunities to go beyond the classroom to create, build and explore infusing STEM.
  • A Life Without Limit: After his asthma diagnosis at age 14, Jerome Bettis has been a tireless advocate for asthma education and awareness and believes every child deserves the opportunity to participate in an organized sport, despite their medical condition. A Life Without Limit is an educational asthma awareness program and camp to educate children ages 8-16 on how to better manage their asthma, help prevent symptoms and reduce the health and lifestyle limitations often caused by the disease.
  • Take it to the Lanes: This unique program teaches students ages 8-16 basic fundamental skills of bowling. Students will learn how to choose the proper bowling ball, learn bowling scoring, rules, deliveries, aiming, etiquette, averages/handicaps, and terminology. The objective of this program is for the students to develop an interest in bowling as a valuable lifetime leisure and coeducational activity that they can continually enjoy along with their families.
  • S.C.O.R.E.: Whether it is a suit for a first college interview or a team needs "suited up" for the season, the Bus Stops Here Foundation is dedicated to providing the attire to help less fortunate individuals and teams reach their maximum potential by having the proper attire. S.C.O.R.E., standing for Suits Can Obtain Revitalized Excellence, is a program designed to help inner-city youth look and feel their best so their performance is not comprised due to improper dress.
  • Holiday Toy Drive: During the holidays, everyone deserves a gift. The Bus Stops Here Foundation is dedicated to partnering with a corporation to hold an annual toy drive to collect gifts for underprivileged youth. In addition, a holiday party is held for the children with great food, holiday story time and gift opening.
