Blind man arrested after 'feeling around' men's restroom

PHOENIX, Ariz. — We're getting a closer look at the aftermath of a blind man's arrest in Arizona, following a scuffle with a police officer.

It happened on June 15, at a QuikTrip convenience store in Phoenix.

Marco Zepeda is seen on a police officer's body camera.  He stopped to use the restroom while his daughter waited outside.

In the video, you can see and hear Zepeda arguing with the officer about what happened.

Phoenix police admit the officer pushed Zepeda, but said he was approached while using the bathroom.

For his part, Zepeda says he was feeling around for the urinal when suddenly, he was shoved without warning.

He says he pushed back because the cop never identified himself until *after* he was thrown to the ground.

"He grabbed and he screamed at me 'I told you I was the police.'  But he never did it. I swear to God he never did it," said Zepeda.

Part of the scuffle was caught on camera by a witness in a nearby stall.

The witness, along with Zepeda, later shared their stories with police and KPNX.

Charges against Zepeda were eventually dropped.

Phoenix police have not yet commented on the body camera footage, but did say last month that the incident is part of an open investigation.
