PITTSBURGH - Investigators tell Channel 11 News that a body was found in the Avonworth Middle School parking lot Friday morning.
School officials said via Twitter that traffic was being diverted through the high school side of the building. Officials also tweeted that there “is no need to be concerned, there is no threat to our community. More information will be released as soon as possible.”
In a statement issued by school officials later Friday morning a spokesperson said, “The parking lot is now open as normal. It is with our deepest regrets that we inform you of the death of one of our local elderly community members. Ohio Township police has notified the family, and it is believed to have been of natural causes.”
