SHARPSBURG, Pa. — A box truck crashed through a guardrail and into a backyard on High Street in Sharpsburg on Monday.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Penn Street and 6th Street around 4:42 p.m.

Police told Channel 11 that the driver's breaks malfunctioned while he was driving down Ravine Street, which is a steep hill.

The truck then went through a parking lot, crashed through a guardrail, and then crashed through a fence before landing in the yard. It did not hit the house or any other structures.
Police will determine if the driver will face any charges after the truck has been inspected.
Crews are still on the scene working to remove the box truck.
