NEW YORK CITY — Four people were injured Monday morning when an explosive device went off in an underground passageway near Times Square, New York Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said.
Among those injured was a man suspected of strapping the device to himself and carrying it toward Times Square.

New York Police Commissioner James O’Neil identified the suspect as Akayed Ullah, 27.
The 27 y/o suspect, Akayed Ullah, was wearing an improvised explosion device attached to his body and he intentionally detonated it.
