Matthews International buys Canadian firm, makes deeper inroads in renewable energy market

PITTSBURGH — Matthews International Corp. has acquired the assets of a 9-year-old Canadian supplier of technology to the hydrogen fuel-cell industry.

Terms were not disclosed.

The transaction expands Matthews’ (NASDAQ:MATW) technology and manufacturing capabilities serving the renewable energy market.
