If pickup trucks have not been your thing because they just weren't luxurious enough, you may be in luck.

Mercedes Benz has released concept art for its Mercedes-Benz Concept X-Class. More plainly, it's a luxury pickup truck.

The Mercedes-Benz Vans division said in a news release Tuesday that the truck will be produced in cooperation with the Renault-Nissan Alliance, and the stylings of the vehicle do look similar to Nissan trucks already on the market.

Road and Track Magazine reported that the midsize concept X-Class is going to begin production in late 2017.

Two versions can be seen in the concept art. One, branded as the Concept X-CLASS powerful adventurer has a sportier, more rugged appearance. The other, branded as the Concept X-CLASS stylish explorer is closer to traditional, more elegant stylings of Mercedes vehicles.

"Our future X-Class will be a pickup that knows no compromise. Ladder-type frame, high-torque six-cylinder engine, and permanent all-wheel drive are compulsory for us,"  Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans  Volker Mornhinweg said in the release. "As an added value we bring safety, comfort, agility, and expressive design – in other words, everything that distinguishes vehicles bearing the Mercedes star. We will thus appeal to new customers who have not considered owning a pickup before."

Mercedes lists the key markets for the truck as Europe, Latin America, South Africa and Australia.

Whether or not the luxury pickup truck will be available for U.S. consumers, for now, is a no.

"The Mercedes-Benz pickup shown on October 25, 2016 is a concept," Mercedes-Benz USA said. "While a pickup is under consideration for the U.S. market at some point, no timeline is available for a decision to be made."
