Girl, 5, falls from window in Ross Township

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A child fell from a second-story window in Ross Township on Thursday.

Police said the 5-year-old girl was unresponsive but breathing on her own.

According to police, the girl fell from her bedroom window while her mom was somewhere else in the house with another child.

Police said it appears there were no witnesses, but a neighbor found the child on the pavement and called 911.

"The mother apparently was inside the residence tending to another child and did not hear knocks at the door from the neighbor," said Benjamin Dripps of Ross Township police.

Police believe it was an accident.

The child was transported to Children's Hospital.  Her condition is unknown.
