PITTSBURGH - A major construction project has shut down the northbound lanes of Route 885 for the next two weeks.
All drivers traveling to Pittsburgh from West Mifflin, Pleasant Hills and other surrounding areas will be forced to use posted detour routes.
The northbound lanes at the intersection of Lebanon Road and Lebanon Church Road were closed at 7 a.m. Monday. The lanes are expected to remain closed through mid-May.
The project is part of a $4.6 million project to replace a bridge over the Union Railroad.
The entire project is expected to be completed next year, but the closures will only last a few weeks.
