MARIPOSA, Calif. — An elderly man who was severely injured was saved by a good Samaritan truck driver and man's best friend.
A truck driver in a remote part of California noticed a dog with a leash on and thought he'd stop to investigate.
The driver pulled out his phone and started to record the incident.
The dog wouldn't approach the truck driver, even for a sandwich and some water.

The driver then noticed a flashlight and a trail - but still couldn't quite figure out what was going on.
He was about to leave when he heard faint yelling in the background.
That's when he discovered an elderly man who had broken his hip falling down the embankment and another dog who had stayed by his owner, protecting him.
The truck driver was able to get some help for the elderly man.
