Driver rescued from car submerged in pond

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — A driver had to be rescued early Monday after his car ended up in a pond.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Old Route 119 in East Huntingdon Township shortly after 3 a.m.

There were reports that the car was submerged in the pond and that the driver was on top of it when police arrived.

He was not seriously hurt.
