No one was injured, police said, and at least one person was arrested at East Hills Park Apartments around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said as they arrived at the apartment complex, they heard shots being fired. They began to chase three men, according to a criminal complaint, and the men fired guns as they entered woods behind the complex, and police lost them.

City police from Zones 4 and 5, along with police from Wilkinsburg, Penn Hills, Swissvale, North Braddock, Port Authority police and Allegheny County deputy sheriffs secured the scene and chased several people.

Police said Parris Lyle, 20, of East Hills, came out of the woods and dropped a gun before police chased him for a short distance and arrested him. According to a criminal complaint, Lyle said, "I wasn't shooting at you guys" when police arrested him.

Police charged Lyle with reckless endangerment, illegal firearm possession and related offenses. He remained in the Allegheny County Jail Saturday morning.
