PITTSBURGH - An 89-year-old Lawrenceville man who is confined to his bed tried to fight off an intruder with a gun on Tuesday.
Police said the intruder went into the elderly man’s bedroom, and the elderly man pulled a gun on him.
At some point, the intruder got ahold of the gun, police said.
The elderly man and another man he lives with were not hurt, but police believe the intruder got away with the gun.
“Why pick on these guys? They’re two nice guys. They’ve been in the neighborhood forever. My opinion is that it was somebody they knew,” said Edward Bartosiewicz, the property’s manager.
If you have any information about this, call police.
