Robin Taylor joined the Channel 11 News team in April 2010 as a consumer reporter.
With more than 20 years of reporting experience, Robin has covered many big stories, including the 2008 presidential election, the Hurricane Katrina aftermath and the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
She spends her free time teaching Broadcast Journalism and is an adjunct professor at Temple University.
Her work at Philadelphia's FOX 29 on the documentary “Celebrating Our Veterans” earned her first place in the 2005 Associated Press Awards. She has also been nominated twice for Emmy awards for best reporter and best feature.
From 1998 to 2002, Robin was a reporter at KYW-TV 3, the CBS station in Philadelphia. She took a break from news to attend the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School, where she earned a degree in marketing and graduated Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 2004. She worked briefly as a freelance television writer and producer while attending school before joining FOX 29.
Prior to moving to Philadelphia, Robin lived in Milwaukee, Wis., where she was an anchor and reporter at WITI-TV. There, she earned awards for spot news coverage and live and in-depth reporting.
In 1993, Robin earned national recognition from the Radio and Television News Directors’ Association for her outstanding coverage of the health care crisis. At the time, she was a weekend anchor and reporter for WROC-TV in Rochester, NY. Her first big break came when she landed an on-air job at KAAL-TV, a small television station in Austin, Minn.
Raised in Lawrence, Kan., Robin attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she graduated with honors with a double major in journalism and political science.
When she's not working, Robin likes to spend time with her husband, Ray, son, Ryan, and golden retriever, Avery.
