Jackie is now among 10 vocalists, dancers and magicians competing for the top prize of $1 million and a headlining show in Las Vegas.
It's the kind of music the average fifth grader doesn't dabble in, but it didn't seem too out of the ordinary once Channel 11 News visited Jackie's school.
Jackie attends Eden Hall Upper Elementary. Students there were practicing their guitar skills when WPXI showed up on Tuesday.
One of Jackie's teachers, Stephen Rickenback, said she asked to perform in front of the class when she was in first grade. He said he wasn't prepared for what happened next.
"At the end of class, she gets up to sing. She says she is going to be doing something from 'Phantom of the Opera.' I'm like, 'Wow, that's pretty ambitious for a first grader.' Right away, you could tell there was something different. She had something," Rickenback said.
"It's pretty cool to see her on TV. She's been to my house, and I like collaborated a little with her," said classmate Hallie Clewes.
We will continue to follow Jackie's progress on Channel 11
