Swift, making one of many East Coast stops on her 2011 “Speak Now World Tour,” performed for fans from all over the area—some further than others.
“We made the trip all the way from New Jersey,” said Amanda Carty, of Burlington County, New Jersey, accompanied by her mother and sister, Meghan.
Carty was one of many fans eager to win a backstage pass to possibly meet Swift by displaying the country pop star’s lucky number 13 by way of hats, signs and even face paint.
Despite steep event parking prices, fans of all ages and genders tailgated outside the stadium hours prior to the concert, cooking out and indulging in a few Taylor tunes before heading into the show.
Following Saturday's show, Swift will head to Buffalo, N.Y., for a June 21 concert before making a sweep through the New England states.
