INDIANA, Pa. - Extras are still needed for “Southpaw” starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film is being shot in Indiana County through June and in Pittsburgh from July to August.
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce said Tuesday:
“Sign up today for paid extra work for the major motion picture 'Southpaw' being filmed in Indiana County now through June 27. If you are available for one to two days or multiple days, please visit www.movieextraspittsburgh.com to sign up or email a digital photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. 'Southpaw' is seeking men and women, ages 18+, for paid extra roles. There is still time to sign up!”
“Southpaw” is about a boxer who fights his way to the top, only to find his life falling apart around him, according to the Internet Movie Database.
The director of “Southpaw,” Antoine Fuqua, is from Pittsburgh. He graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and attended West Virginia University.
Pittsburgh has attracted movies ranging from the blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises” to the lower-budget “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”
In 2010, Gyllenhaal worked in Pittsburgh to film “Love and Other Drugs,” which also starred Anne Hathaway.
