Family searching for owner of dog that attacked girl, dog in South Park

SOUTH PARK, Pa. — A family is searching for the owner of a German Shepard that attacked a girl and their dog this weekend in South Park.

The dog was rushed to a local vet, bruised and bleeding. His owner and his owner’s daughter were walking him around the fairgrounds, when they said a large all-black German Shepard attacked.

The dog’s leg was injured and the woman was bruised in several spots.

They told Allegheny County Police that the German Shepard’s owner was in his 50s and drove a burgundy or red newer truck – possibly a Ford pickup truck. He grabbed his dog and left before exchanging any information – including if the German Shepard’s rabies shots were up to date.

Channel 11’s Cara Sapida reports that the woman has started the first round of rabies shots to be safe.
