Family's Penn Hills home gutted by flames

PENN HILLS, Pa. — Flames tore through a family’s Penn Hills home late Monday night, leaving behind a charred shell of the structure.

The family who lived in the home on Old Coal Hollow Road was inside at the time, but was able to get out safely.

Firefighters said the house was fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene.

It is unclear what started the fire.
