Updated:PITTSBURGH,None - A fight at Perry High School Wednesday morning sent one girl to the hospital.
Officials said a female student was taken to a hospital after fighting with another girl following a heated argument.
The girl was conscious and alert in the ambulance, police said.
Glen Schneider has a student in Pittsburgh City Schools and said something needs to be done about fighting in schools.
"I'd like to see them put more security guards in the school to make sure this doesn't happen again," Schneider said. "I feel my kids are safe, but I'm very concerned once they reach high school that they may not be."
The girl taken to the hospital is expected to be OK, officials said.
School said they plan on taking disciplinary actions against the other student.
