Updated:PITTSBURGH,None - The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Ohio River in Pittsburgh.
Persistent widespread rainfall across the regional is causing rises upstream of Pittsburgh on the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers.
According to the National Weather Service, the Ohio River was at 16.9 feet Monday morning. Flood stage for the river is 25 feet. The river is expected to near 18.8 feet by Wednesday evening. Water begins to flow onto the North Shore Riverwalk between Heinz Field and PNC Park at 19 feet.
The advisory will remain in effect until Thursday.
