George Lucas to Get White House Honor, "Pacific Rim" Premieres

Star Wars director George Lucas is to be honored with the National Medal of Arts at a White House ceremony next week. The 69-year-old is among 12 recipients being recognized for their cultural contributions to the U.S. The White House praised the director for "combining the art of storytelling with boundless imagination and cutting-edge techniques." President Obama will award the medals next Wednesday.
