• Get your ice scrapers ready; Temperatures dropping below freezing

PITTSBURGH - Get your ice scrapers ready -- Temperatures will drop below freezing Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Rain and snow showers will set the stage for icy windshields for Thursday’s morning commute, Chief Meteorologist Stephen Cropper said.

A slushy accumulation of snow is in the forecast for the ridges and areas north of Interstate 80, while a grassy accumulation will be possible around Pittsburgh.

Wind chills will also take a hit Thursday, struggling from the upper 20s into the 30s throughout the day.

Looking ahead to Friday, plan on bundling up at the high school football games.  Temperatures could be in the 30s.
